Support Therapy for IDF Soldiers
The Long Short Road Announces Major Gift from Jack Miller and The Gelt Charitable Foundation to Support Therapy for IDF Soldiers
The Long Short Road is honored and deeply grateful to announce a major gift from Jack Miller, founder of The Gelt Charitable Foundation, in support of our ongoing mental health and therapeutic work with IDF soldiers.
The Gelt Charitable Foundation has been a principal partner of The Long Short Road since 2019, standing with us from our early stages and helping to shape and sustain our mission over the past several years. This latest gift represents not only a significant financial contribution but a continued vote of confidence in the importance of accessible, compassionate, and trauma-informed mental health care.
Supporting Healing for Those Who Serve
The funds from this generous donation will be used specifically to provide therapy and mental health support for IDF soldiers, many of whom carry the psychological and emotional weight of prolonged stress, trauma, and loss. Through this support, The Long Short Road will be able to expand access to professional therapy, reduce financial barriers to care, and ensure that soldiers receive the consistent, high-quality support they deserve.
At The Long Short Road, we believe that healing is not a luxury — it is essential. Soldiers who dedicate themselves to protecting others must also be given the tools, space, and support to process their experiences and care for their own emotional well-being.
A Partnership Rooted in Shared Values
Jack Miller and The Gelt Charitable Foundation have long been champions of initiatives that prioritize human dignity, resilience, and long-term impact. Their partnership with The Long Short Road has helped make possible a range of mental health programs, therapeutic interventions, and community-based support systems over the years.
“Jack Miller and The Gelt Charitable Foundation have been steadfast partners in our work since 2019,” said Leigh Ioffe, Founder and Director of The Long Short Road. “This gift allows us to directly support IDF soldiers in accessing therapy and mental health care at a time when the need is profound. We are deeply grateful for Jack’s leadership, trust, and unwavering commitment to healing and resilience.”
Looking Ahead
This gift strengthens our capacity to meet the growing mental health needs of soldiers and reinforces our broader mission: to walk alongside individuals and communities as they navigate trauma, recovery, and growth — honoring both the long journey of healing and the small, meaningful steps along the way.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jack Miller and The Gelt Charitable Foundation for their generosity, partnership, and belief in the power of healing.
